Free BB King Blues lesson w/video

Great thing about the internet is that there are guys out there that are more than willing to play a few licks and then show you how they are played. This is EXACTLY the case over on Dolphin Street. There are several lessons I could post but this really jumps out at me and has since I first heard it several months ago. Check out this blues lick and we will do more on Dolphin St. later!

Do you recognize the lack of a band or people to play with as a reason you may not play guitar as much anymore?  One of the downfalls for me playing guitar is that the “band” days are far behind me. Sure, I can play along to a CD but I don’t want to hear the guitar. Recently I stumbled across this site with free backing tracks to play along to. If I had this years ago I might not have faded my electric guitar playing out. Isn’t the Internet a great place.?

GuitarBackingTrack.com has 2816 Guitar Backing tracks in it’s archives.  You can go to the site and click play or download the MP3 and make your own practice CD!  Bands are listed alphabetically.  It’s a blast to even browse through the songs, clicking play every now and then, bringing back memories.

Some of them have vocals, some don’t.  Check out this sample of Guns and Roses, “Sweet Child O’ Mine” with vocals.  All you need to do is strap up and plug in.  Doesn’t that sound fun?

I have literally spent hours on this site since I have discovered it.  I hope you have fun with it as well.  Stop back MusicLee Inclined for more free guitar resources as I dig them up!  Rock on!

Quotes of Musicness

I'm not good enough to be playin' much acoustic guitar onstage. Man, you gotta get so right; I mean, the tones, the feel, the sound. Plus, acoustic blues guitar is just that much harder on the fingers. I really appreciate when someone can blow me away with live acoustic blues.
